Fadi Solar Energy Participated Solar Africa - Solar Exhibition In Tanzania In September 2024

Chinese Solar Power Company-Fadsol Chief Executive Officer, Jackson Wu said at the opening of the exhibition in Dar es Salaam yesterday that they are satisfied with the friendly business climate created by the government.

“Tanzania is an ideal market due to its stable political and economic stability,” he said.

Mr. Wu who expressed interest in investing in the country, said Tanzania and China has a strong relationship which is a key factor for his interest.

He also outlined their investment plans which will focus on producing environmentally friendly solar energy products.

SOLAR AFRICA – Tanzania is a premier international trade exhibition targeting the East African solar market. The event is the only business networking trade fair that is dedicated to promoting products and services in the solar sector.  The exhibition offers tremendous opportunities to suppliers worldwide, generating the strongest leads within the solar market in the East African Region.

Solar energy is one of the most abundant and accessible renewable energy sources in Tanzania, with an average solar radiation of 4-7 kWh/m2/day. Solar energy can be used for various applications, such as lighting, heating, cooling, pumping, cooking, and generating electricity. Solar energy can also provide clean and affordable energy access to rural and remote areas that are not connected to the national grid.

The government of Tanzania has enacted several policies and initiatives to promote the development and deployment of solar energy in the country. The private sector has played a key role in driving the growth and innovation of solar energy in Tanzania. Several local and international companies have invested in solar projects, products, and services for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. These include solar home systems, solar lanterns, solar water heaters, solar water pumps, solar refrigerators, solar dryers, solar cookers, solar street lights, solar mini-grids, and grid-connected solar power plants. The development and deployment of solar energy in Tanzania has been supported by various financing mechanisms and partnerships involving public and private actors.
